Major Dorfman is an MFA Directing Candidate at Columbia University's School of the Arts. From a small mill town in Massachusetts, Major received his bachelor's in Visual Arts from Emerson College.
Major's stories often feature situations loaded with moral ambiguity, and how the characters placed in those situations choose to act. His film Fourth of July is currently in its festival run, most recently winning a Special Mention for Best US Student Short at the 2021 Palm Springs International ShortFest. Major currently works as an assistant editor at Northern Lights Edit in New York.
He lives in Brooklyn, NY, loves Raisin Bran Crunch, and has a dog named Ron.
